Built by a sailor

I'm Kacper Gunia, a software engineer who races at his club most weekends. I built Sailboat Racing because a few things kept bugging me - results often turned up late, the scoring software clubs were using wasn't intuitive and took a lot of work, and the odd name would end up spelt wrong.

I wanted something simpler. A race officer should be able to record finishes and publish results without leaving the water, and sailors should be able to see where they came before the boats are de-rigged. That was the whole idea.

What it does

For race officers - a timing panel for lap times and finishes, handicap scoring with Portsmouth Yardstick and other systems, and everything a series needs: divisions, start lines, discards, and scoring rules. Pull competitor lists straight from a previous event. It all runs on a phone or tablet.

For sailors and spectators - club pages with stats, personal profiles that track your results over time, a calendar you can subscribe to so races turn up automatically, and a spreadsheet export when you want the raw numbers.

For clubs - multiple series, a full season calendar, and open events you can promote.
